Portia had in place an executive management team that focused on bringing container operations up to international standards and increasing the port’s role as a regional transshipment hub.

Portia developed the Port’s safety strategy and policy in relation to the new OSHA legislation that the T&T Government put into statute.

Training programmes were also developed by Portia to assist this strategy and improve the capabilities of equipment drivers.
