Without experienced management, new port operations may operate inefficiently for years. New terminals operating with locally-sourced management may find problems recruiting experienced people with knowledge of the latest equipment or processes, resulting in terminal underperformance.
Portia will create a team of experienced consultants to manage operations on behalf of the local/designated operator. This includes bringing the new terminal online and establishing industry standard processes for safe and efficient terminal operations. Initially, the local/designated operator’s management will shadow Portia’s team, taking over the active role as management processes become established.
