As part of this EBRD-funded port rehabilitation project, Portia was required to provide supervision of the supply and commissioning of a wide range of cargo-handling equipment. This included rail-mounted cranes, mobile harbour cranes, forklift trucks, tractors, trailers and bulk-handling equipment. In addition, supervision of the complete refurbishment of three existing rail-mounted cranes was provided.

The work involved detailed liaison with manufacturers both at works and on site during hand-over of equipment.
