Portia attended the Mersey Maritime February Face 2 Face Meeting in the Mann Island Building in Liverpool City Centre.
The event was very well attended and in the first half there was an interesting presentation on the Devolved Programmes, Investment and Delivery from Tim Games an Executive Director at Liverpool City Region Combined Authority followed by a Q&A session.
The second half saw a stimulating panel discussion moderated by Ruth Wood (Mersey Maritime’s CEO). The panel included Linton Roberts (Cammell-Laird), Dr. Christian Mattews (Liverpool John Moores University) and Richard Willis (Royal Haskoning DHV) and looked at what the key focus areas and priorities were for these partners in terms of maritime innovation and also at how members can best collaborate on delivery of this exciting project.
Portia will be taking a keen interest in how this project develops and further enhances “Maritime Innovation” in the region and how that can be delivered overseas.
