The Portia team undertook a comprehensive security review of Port Louis, including a review of policy issues, physical measures, structures and the delivery of training. Portia also developed equipment specifications and the examination and selection of tenders for the procurement, supply and commissioning of the equipment. The Portia team also supervised the installation of equipment and the introduction of new procedures and provided security training to port staff. This work was followed by a 1-year maintenance period to ensure that systems and procedures were operating correctly.
