Security
For many years, the Port of Liverpool has achieved a well-deserved reputation for the security of cargoes passing across its berths.
Since 1976, a dual system of security has operated within the Port, provided by the Port’s own security service and police force.
The Port of Liverpool has its own modern police force consisting of 25 officers including C.I.D., crime prevention and training sections. The Port of Liverpool Police are committed to enhancing security, safety, and the prevention and detection of crime for the benefit of all port users, their property and businesses.
In addition to their commitments in the Port of Liverpool and the Manchester Ship Canal, Senior Officers from Port of Liverpool Police have also carried out security reviews and assessments at locations outside of the UK on behalf of Portia.
Safety
Safety professionals have in the past been seconded to Portia to provide expert technical assistance in this sector.These professionals along with Portia’s own Safety Specialists can assist with the monitoring of Portia’s overseas concessions.
