Portia Supports Young Person’s Advisory Service (YPAS)

Mental health issues affect 1 in 6 UK adults at any given time, and can have an adverse effect on lifespan and general health. It is vital that help and assistance is given early to combat mental health challenges.
An organisation focussed on delivering early care is the Young Person’s Advisory Service (YPAS), a charity established in 1966 that supports the mental health and emotional well-being of children, young people and families by providing a wide range of support and therapeutic services in communities, schools and across three locality hubs – central, south and north Liverpool.
Last year YPAS supported over 2,100 children and young people, over 400 parents / carers and over 300 families, delivering over 6,300 therapy sessions and over 800 hours of group work.
This week YPAS were invited to the Maritime Centre in the Port of Liverpool to share information about the charity, the work they do and how we can help them to make a difference.
Portia are proud to be able to publicise the good works that YPAS do.
