Steve is a highly qualified experienced Maritime Professional, Master Mariner, Ships Master, Commercial Port Manager and Director, Harbour Master and international Marine Superintendent. After coming ashore, Steve successfully worked in a range of Director level roles across the port sector including Group Marine Director for Peel Ports and Managing Director at the Port of Sheerness.
Steve has particular expertise in port operations for the OREI (offshore renewable energy installations) industry as Director and Marine Advisor to Scotland’s emergent specialised port in offshore renewables. This includes concrete and steel foundations (including floating substructures), blade construction and nacelle/transition pieces/tower logistics.
Steve is also experienced in operational assessments, due diligence and risk management assessments of ports and shipping around the globe including marine functions, business, engineering and infrastructure.
