KPA Pilots Return to Portia in the Port of Liverpool.
Portia are delighted to say that the Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) have sent a cohort of their Marine Pilots back to Liverpool after a long-overdue absence. The KPA Pilots have completed the first of 2-weeks training in the Liverpool Port environs.
The first week has seen them successfully complete a Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) accredited Human, Element, Leadership and Management Course delivered by John Percival Marine at their Hoylake Sailing School facility.
The HELM Training Instructor Nick Lynch said, “I have had a brilliant week with KPA guys, they have demonstrated knowledge, and commitment to learning the subject which a fair amount of students and instructors find difficult.”
As you can see from the attached photos this HELM course was a “hands-on” experience in which the KPA candidates undertook a range of team exercises including building a bridge.
Portia would like to thank everyone involved and we look forward to an equally enjoyable and successful second week.
